Welcome!

I served a mission two and a half years ago in Detroit, Michigan. Here's a picture of me looking pretty nerdy on the mission. Sure there were hard days, but I wouldn't trade the opportunities I had on the mission for happiness and growth for anything. I remember one evening I was driving home on a country road with my companion after a good teaching appointment. I had never been so blissfully happy in my life. It wasn't that the investigators eventually got baptized, it was just the joy of sharing the light of the gospel with others that stuck with me.

This blog was designed with sister missionaries in mind. More and more sisters are serving, and this is an opportunity for future and returned missionaries to share their insights on the work. Believe it or not, we're a little different than the Elders (even though we still think they're great), and so we have different needs when it comes to preparing for and enjoying missionary work. Feel free to send me your stories, questions, and ideas. I would be happy to post them.
